The ABC's of Avian Flu - The World Health Organization states that person-to-person transmission of Avian Flu is either not occurring or is occurring at extremely low levels. Despite this reassuring news, it is wise to gather information about the causes, risk factors, treatment and prevention of avian influenza - more commonly called "Bird Flu". The following resources are suggested for up-to-date reliable information:

The Center for Disease Control (CDC) website features excellent resources on their Home Page.

The U.S. Federal Government Health and Human Services website has specific health and safety recommendations for workers.

The World Health Organization (WHO) maintains an up-to-date "Influenza Pandemic Threat: Current Situation" web page. The WHO website also offers basic facts as well as information on vaccine and drug preparedness measures.
