Dependent Adult Care
Consultation & Referral

Dependent Adult Care Consultation & Referral offers caregivers consultation, assistance, and resource referral to help with dependent adults under 60 years of age who have a chronic illness, or physical or mental disability. After assessing the dependent care needs, an extensive search is conducted to identify appropriate resources for the disabled adult, the caregiver, or both.

Why would someone seek Dependent Adult Care assistance rather than Elder Care services?
Dependent Adult Care is intended for individuals under the age of 60 who have disabling conditions, such as Multiple Sclerosis, Down Syndrome, or dementia. Elder Care specializes in serving the needs of individuals 60 years of age and older. Often there are overlaps in the types of services and resources required to assist both groups, and the caregiver’s needs are similar. As such, being familiar with our Elder Care Consultation & Referral service will be useful. While our Dependent Adult and Elder Care services recognize the similarities, they remain tailored to address the needs of the unique groups they serve.
